Council will from time to time let tenders for goods and services and these will be advertised in the Townsville Bulletin and Palm Island Voice.
Council is required to provide information on tenders with a value over $200,000 plus GST that have been entered into in the last 12 months.
Council has let a Preferred Supplier Arrangement Tender in 2017 and a Supplementary Preferred Supplier Arrangement Tender in 2018. Both of these tenders expire 30 June 2019 however Council has an option to extend the tender.
There are 145 different providers listed on the Preferred Supplier Arrangement.
All suppliers to Council must comply with the Employee and Contractors Code of Conduct. Suppliers will be removed from the Preferred Supplier Arrangement list if they breach the Code of Conduct, Work Health and Safety Procedures or fail to perform under the contract conditions including providing value for money to Council.
