Sandy Boyd Aged Care Hostel is a place for elders to live and be looked after on Palm Island, Elders living at Sandy Boyd have low care needs and just need help with activities of daily living.
Most residents living at Sandy Boyd Aged Care can walk or move about independently, but sometimes they need a bit more help with activities such as showering, dressing and may need aids like wheelchairs or walkers to move about.
Sandy Boyd is funded as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Service.
The Age Care are currently developing Home Care Services, more information will be updated in the New Year about the Home Care Services.
