We're committed to building a strong local workforce and are looking for an experienced Civil & Open Spaces Supervisor to lead the day-to-day delivery of essential civil maintenance and municipal services across Palm Island. This role plays an important part in maintaining roads, drainage, parks, public spaces and community infrastructure while supporting local employees and ensuring services are delivered safely and efficiently for our community.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are quite the same.
You'll lead and coordinate civil works crews, contractors, plant and equipment, helping ensure maintenance and operational programs are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Working closely with the Manager Civil & Open Spaces, you'll support local workforce development, promote positive workplace culture and help keep Palm Island's public infrastructure and community spaces functioning at their best
What You'll Bring
Experience supervising civil works, construction, infrastructure or municipal services teams
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience coordinating employees, contractors, plant and equipment
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Ability to read plans, schedules and work programs
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence
Construction White Card
